In September 2014, seven former Royal Marines (including yours truly) will be travelling to Nepal to take part in a gruelling 14 day charity trek from Lukla to Everest Base Camp - their mission, to raise funds for Adam's Hoofing Hut.
To mark the occasion, which coincides with the Corps 350th anniversary, Golden-Rivet is proud to announce the launch of the Official Everest 2014 wristband from which all profits will be donated to this very worthy charity. 'Adam's Hoofing Hut' was set up to realise the dream of Royal Marines Commando, Adam Brown, who was tragically killed in action in Afghanistan on 1st August 2010 - one of Adam's dreams was to own a beach hut at Mudeford near Christchurch where he spent many a childhood holiday and the fundraising campaign was started to realise Adam's dream and provide a place for Royal Marines' families and friends in need with a quiet place to relax, recuperate and reflect.
The official 'Everest 2014' wristband features the 'Royal Marines Everest Challenge' wording and is presented as a silicone based black wristband with gold lettering.
